またまたFOX独占！スコット・マッキンタイヤ来日模様♪

AIのミニコーナーでもお伝えしてありましたが、先日アメアイシーズン8のファイナリストであるスコット・マッキンタイヤがチャリティー・ライブのため初来日をしました！そして、FOXジャパンにも遊びに来てくれました。

皆様も存知の通り、彼は生まれた時から全盲で、数々の苦難を乗り越え、アメアイの大舞台で脚光を浴びるまでの存在になりました。そんなハンディキャップを負っている事を感じさせない程、スコットは本当に明るくて、気さくで、色んな話を私達にしてくれました。AIも初めてスコットに会いましたが、すぐに彼の魅力に引かれ、トーク中に涙が出そうになるくらい感動していました。番組中には語れなかった事、今だから話せる事、色んな想いを抱えながらとても明るくふるまう彼に、スタッフ共々とても温かい気持ちになりました。

アメアイに出演していた時、ずっとスコットの付き添いで、彼を支えて来た弟のトッドと一緒でした。皆様も番組内でチラっと見かけた事があるのではないでしょうか？実は彼、現在日本のディズニー・ランドのダンサーとして活躍しています！歌もめちゃくちゃうまいんですよ。

そして、スコットはAIのミニコーナーを撮影に来てくれた数日後、タイラー・ファンデーション主催の小児ガンを支援するためのチャリティー・ライブでパフォーマンスをしました。1日に2公演ありましたが、共に満席。日本でもスコットは既にこんなに人気なんですね！

生で聴いたピアノの弾き語りは最高でした！テレビを通す音とは、やっぱり迫力が違いました。とてもピュアで美しい音色をピアノで奏でながら、スコットの歌声が心の中まで響きました。

ライブ後は、会場にいた観客一人一人に対してサイン、そして記念撮影を一緒にしていました。本当にファンを大切にする彼のやさしさに感激！

そして最後にFOXのインタビューにも快く引き受けてくれました。写真に写っているのはスコットの家族ですが、お母さん、妹、弟と全員歌がうまくて、ライブでもアカペラを4人で歌っていました！アメリカではCDも出しているんです。マッキンタイヤ家はとても才能のある家族なんですね。お父さんは。。。とにかくやさしそうでした！
